This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Chicago, IL on Feb. 12, 1909. Seletz graduated from University of Chicago and Temple Medical School. In 1928 he settled in Los Angeles and soon was a successful neurosurgeon. He taught at USC Medical School during 1950-62. In his leisure he sculpted portrait busts and was active in the local art scene. He died on Oct. 6, 1999. Exh: Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1938-57 (prizes); Physicians AA (LA), 1940-55; Calif. Art Club, 1950-60; Pasadena Society of Artists, 1950; Artists of the SW, 1951-59. In: Ford Theater (Washington, DC); LA Court House; San Jose Court House; Johns Hopkins Hospital; Cedars of Lebanon Hospital; LA County Medical Society Bldg.
