Raised in Spokane, Washington, Florence Sackett is known primarily for her western landscapes, although she also paints marine scenes and seascapes. In Spokane, she married, briefly went to Texas, and then returned to Spokane where she worked in a sign shop doing silk screening.
Basically self-taught, she took a correspondence course from the Kachina School of Art in Phoenix (1967) while living in Sonoma, California. Then she traveled widely in the West, married and lived for (showing 500 of 1908 characters). |
