| Frederic J. Schott was born in Joliet, IL on June 6, 1864. Schott settled in Los Angeles in 1915. He worked in the art departments of various motion picture studios and in his leisure painted plein-air landscapes of the area around his home. He died in Los Angeles on Nov. 4, 1936.
