Watercolorist George Shook was born in Mississippi in 1932. A southern regionalist, Shook paints vestiges of the rural south. "I especially enjoy painting scenes that touch the viewer with nostalgia, like half remembered places of forgotten times."
Shook has won several awards for his watercolors including three consecutive purchase awards in Watercolor USA. He has exhibited with The Americ (showing 500 of 792 characters). |
