| Painter. Born in Chicago, IL on Feb 4, 1885 of Czechoslovakian descent. The Seidenecks were architects who for two hundred years built castles in Bohemia. George Seideneck began his art training in his native city at Smith Art Academy and the AIC. In 1911 he sailed to Europe for further study in England and the Royal Academy in Munich under Carl Marr and Walter Thor. After three years, he returned to Chicago and taught at the Academy of Fine Art and Academy of Design. Seideneck came to Californi (showing 500 of 1243 characters). |
