| | Born in California on Jan. 19, 1882. While a resident of San Francisco in 1902-19, Smith studied at the Institute of Art. In 1925 he settled in Los Angeles and later worked there as a laborer at Lockheed Aircraft. He died there on May 24, 1965. Exh: SFAA, 1909-18. | Source:
