George Stewart was born December 4,1922 in Michigan. His drawing talent was discovered at an early age and comic cartoons of football players showed up in school papers.
Early art work was with the "Tampa Tribune" and "Miami Herald" in Florida.
His travels to Japan, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand while Art Director of the "Pacific Stars & Stripes" military paper during WW11 and Vietnam led to production of many art prints (showing 500 of 721 characters). |
