| | Born in Pennsylvania in 1833. Shourds worked in Philadelphia until 1854. He then moved to San Francisco and worked with the Nahl brothers. He contributed one engraving to The Annals of San Francisco in 1855. He continued engraving in San Francisco until his death in November 1875. Exh: Mechanics' Inst.
