| Born in Cawker City, KS on Sept. 15, 1897. Sands studied at the AIC, CSFA, and with William Gaw. She was a resident of Berkeley, CA in the 1930s and the wife of Louis Barr. Working in watercolor and oil, she specialized in still lifes. She died in Knoxville, TN on Oct. 14, 2000.
