A well-known artist and craftsman in Alaska, Glen Simpson did his undergraduate work at the University of Alaska and then trained at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received his M.F.A. in 1969. He returned to Fairbanks, Alaska where he joined the faculty of the University of Alaska.
Simpson was born in Atlin, British, Columbia, and his family is both Canadian and Tahltan-Kaska Indian. Solo exhibitions were held for him at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, the Alaska (showing 500 of 738 characters). |
