| Born in San Francisco, CA on June 5, 1873. "Harry" Solon (aka Solomon) studied at the School of Design under Virgil Williams and Emil Carlsen. He was a resident of San Francisco and active in the local art scene until 1899. He then spent the next 16 years in Paris where he further studied at Académie Julian and with Henri Royer and Richard Miller. He returned to his native city during the excitement of the PPIE. By 1929 he had moved to NYC where he remained until his death on Aug. 5, 1958. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1887-89.
