| Harry William Scheuch (Pennsylvania Dutch Surname, Shoyshh) was born April 5,1906 in Elizabeth N.J. and died in Pittsburgh, 1978. Harry's mother and father died in 1911 when he was 5 years old. He was placed in the care of his aunt in the Pittsburgh area. Harry grew up in the Pittsburgh area and attended Carnegie Institute of Technology. In the late-1930s, Scheuch found employment with the federal government's Works Progress Administration. From 1937 to 1940 he served as head of the Federal Art (showing 500 of 1409 characters). |
