| Born in Rockport, Mendocino County, CA on Nov. 11, 1893. After graduating from the CSFA in 1912, Salmi continued her art studies at the Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design, CCAC, and UC Berkeley. She was then employed in San Francisco by the Stained Glass Company as a designer and as a re-toucher for photographer Wm Dassonville. During the 1920s she exhibited oils and watercolors in juried shows in the San Francisco Bay area. In 1936 she founded the Richmond (CA) Art Center and served as its (showing 500 of 983 characters). |
