| Born in Carpinteria, CA on Dec. 22, 1907. Helena married artist Frederick Seegert in 1927, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1936. During the 1930s she was active on the Federal Art Project. In 1957 she married Wm Jansen and then spent eight years as an illustrator for Point Magu Naval Station. A lifelong resident of Carpinteria, the artist died on Sept. 26, 1975.
