| | Born in Bangor, ME on March 9, 1865. Smith was a resident of Brooklyn, NY and a pupil at the Pratt Institute in 1904. By 1910 she had moved to California and settled on the Monterey Peninsula where she taught at the Carmel Arts & Crafts Club. She was a pupil there in the summer class of Wm M. Chase.
