|  A staff artist for the "Boston Herald," Hugh Smith studied at the Massachusetts School of Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He was a member of art associations in Cambridge and Rockport, and one of his murals is at the hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts.
