| Based in New York City, Immi Storrs is known for her modernist animal and
figure sculptures in pairs and single groupings with a style that often
"exaggerates, eliminates unnecessary elements and enhances the
anatomical feature of her forms." Among her subjects are horses
and birds as in Small Smooth Horse, 1992, and Dead Bird,
1985, which was her first animal animal sculpture. Much of
her work has themes of life and death and social interactions, and
combines material (showing 500 of 6177 characters). |
