| Born in Buffalo, New York on Oct. 22, 1870, Isabel studied at the ASL of Buffalo under Mary B. Cox and Lucius Hitchcock. At that school she met artist Otto Schneider whom she married. She accompanied her husband to Paris and further studied with Zelda Shanfield. After two years in Paris, the Schneiders traveled in Europe, the West Indies, Canada and throughout the U.S. After settling in San Diego, CA in 1926, she lived there until her death on June 18, 1962.
