| Painter. Born in Jackson County, MO on March 24, 1882. Stark began to draw and paint at an early age. In 1900 he went to Paris for seven years of art study under Van Home Millet and at Académie Delecluse and La Palette with Jacques Emile Blanche. After returning from Paris, he lived in Silver City, NM until about 1915, but exhibited in Los Angeles during this period. Moving to California in 1916, he was a resident of Santa Monica and later settled in Santa Barbara where he remained until his dem (showing 500 of 862 characters). |
