This biography from the Archives of AskART:
James Scriver was a wildlife bronze sculptor.   Lover of wildlife and animals, he was the co-owner of Cottonwood foundry in Kalispell, Montana for years and then opened his own foundry, Montana Mountain Man.

The son of Robert Macfie Scriver from his first marriage to Alice Prestmo, Jim worked in his father's studio, then combining taxidermy with sculpture, until he joined the Marines after high school.

Later in life he returned for a while to work with his father but then struck out on his own.

Sources include:
Mary Scriver, third wife of Robert Macfie Scriver.
