Biography from a third party submitted on 02/09/2007:
Jane Seymour

A multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner and recipient of the Order of the British Empire in the year 2000, Jane Seymour has proven her talents in virtually all media. Her extensive movie, TV and theatre credits include the James Bond thriller Live and Let Die and Somewhere In Time.  More recently she had the starring role in the six season Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman series.

Ms. Seymour began painting in the early nineties.  Art and flowers have become one in her world and form the foundation for creative expression.  Her subject matter includes landscapes, flowers and children; her influences extend from Marc Chagall to Claude Monet, J.M.W. Turner and Vincent van Gogh.  “I love the Impressionists,” she expressed.  The influence of these master artists continues to define her work.  In addition, her lively studies of floral patterns are inspirations for her fashion designs.

One of Ms. Seymour’s watercolors is featured on a special Discover Card, raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, displayed at the Guggenheim Museum.  Ms. Seymour is also the Honorary Chairperson for Childhelp USA, an organization that enriches the lives of abused children.
