This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Jeffrey and Katrina Seaton have been collaborating since the early 1980s, successfully combining several media to make unique boxes. They select only the most unusual hardwoods, in pursuit of remarkable color and figure and enduring beauty. Using a seven-step sanding process followed by an oil and wax finish, they create a satiny surface resembling polished stone.
Some of the Seaton's recent work reinterprets the petroglyphic cave paintings of the American Southwest in patinated copper repoussé designs.
