This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Cincinatti, he produces paintings with 20 to 30 bands of color, each encircling a red dot center. The idea is to convey a sense of hot and cool color and of rapid rotation, like a long-playing record on a turntable. Overall, there is the appearance of something out of control, ready to fly off the canvas. A counterpoint is drippy, vertical underpainting. A special exhibition of his work was held fall, 1998 at Linda Cannon Gallery in Seattle. |
