| | Born in Vesper, WI on Feb. 12, 1885. Smith was a pupil of Harry S. Dixon, Arthur W. Dow, and Augustus F. Rose. By 1904 she had settled in Los Angeles. After 1923 she taught metal craft for many years at Manual Arts High School and following WWII for a few years at UCLA. She died in Los Angeles on Dec. 16, 1961.
