| Painter, craftsman, designer. Born in Gresham, NE on Sept. 20, 1895.
Jo Bennett settled in Los Angeles in 1906. She later wed Lee Starkey and studied painting locally with Loren Barton, Orrin White, and Marion Wachtel. Her depictions of the Old West garnered many awards before her death in Los Angeles on Dec. 1, 1962.
