Jo Sherwood, who describes herself as painting "realistic impressionism," was born in Rotterdam, Holland where her great-grandfather had been a professional painter in the late 19th century in the town of Brabant. With her father, she toured many museums and was encouraged at an early age to draw.
In 1962, she graduated from Rotterdam Academy of Fine Art where she had classical training emphasizing techniques of the Old Masters. She then became hea (showing 500 of 1132 characters). |
