Born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1961, self-taught artist Joan Somerville has been painting professionally for just six years – yet her work has already attracted worldwide interest, with collectors across the United States, Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Joan was chosen as a major prizewinner in the 'Brave Art' competition held by the Smith Art Gallery and Museum in Stirling, Scotland. The contest was open to artists inspired by the movie “Braveheart” (based on the life of Willi (showing 500 of 1688 characters). |
