Joe Shuster (1914 – 1992)
Joe Shuster was the comic book illustrator who, with writer Jerry Siegel (1914 – 1996), created the character “Superman”.
It debuted June 1, 1938, and is believed by many to be, “The most important comic-book character of the Twentieth Century and the very first superhero…” – Ron Goulart, page 320, Comic Book Encyclopedia. (1)
