He was born on January 23, 1870 in Vingåker, Sweden. He went to The school of Arts in Chicago 1887 to learn painting and stayed in America until 1897. He was also in New York where he was painting even wall paintings for a circus. He was also working with pyrotechnics. Johan came back to Sweden in 1897 and settled down in Kopparberg. In this part of Sweden there are still many of his paintings. He was married but never had any children. He died on Feb (showing 500 of 789 characters). |
