Johannes Schiefer (Dutch-American 1896-1979)
Johannes Schiefer, painter of landscapes and portraits and former curator of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, L.I, New York.
Johannes Schiefer was born in 1896 in the Netherlands, moving to Paris where he began his studies in art. He moved to Nice in the South of France where he married and settled down until the outbreak of WW2. During the late thirties, he traveled and painted the coastline of the South of France, as well as Veni (showing 500 of 1087 characters). |
