| | Born in Alexandria, IN on May 26, 1893. Sandefur studied at the Herron Art School in Indianapolis and at the AIC under Allen E. Philbrick. He lived in Chicago for several years before moving to Los Angeles in 1930. He worked there as a commercial artist until moving to Pacific Grove, CA in 1948. There he developed a series of greeting cards of the Monterey Peninsula which were very popular. Sandefur died there on May 27, 1971. Member: Chicago Society of Etchers.
