| Born in Nappanee, Indiana on Feb. 9, 1910, Shrock obtained his M.A. degree from Albion (MI) College and further studied at the Art Student's League of New York City and UC Berkeley. He later taught art at Washington State College, Albion College, and UC. After service in WWII, he settled in San Francisco.
He later moved across the Golden Gate to Greenbrae where he remained until his demise on Feb. 21, 1976.
