This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The subjects of watercolorist Jonathan Scott, like the cave painters of the ancient past he admires, include figures and animals. Born in 1914, he received his training in England, Germany and Italy, where he was affected by the old masters. But he feels a kinship with the painters of the early 20th Century as well.

He has exhibited at the Ringling Museum, Sarasota, Florida, and Occidental College, California. His works are in the Laguna Museum of Art, California, and Lindsay Art Association. He received an award from the California Watercolor Society.

Jonathan Scott resides in Taos, New Mexico.
