Jordan Straker, a wood carver, began that pursuit 18 years ago when, as therapy for surgery to correct a partially paralyzed thumb, he picked up a Dremel tool. The rest, you could say, is woodcarving history.
His first carving, a bird, won a Best in Show Award at a British Columbia woodcarving show and competition, and to date, he has won 250 top awards including Collector's Choice for four consecutive years ('98, '99, '200 (showing 500 of 1299 characters). |
