| A sculptor in painted wood geometric shapes as well as painter and furniture designer, Joseph Sweeny studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and in 1935, exhibited at the Wisconsin memorial Union in Madison.
He was an industrial designer for Kirby, Cogeshall, Steinau Company in Milwaukee. His non objective work closely relates to the Bauhaus style. |
