An artist who depicts industrial and urban subjects that
are usually devoid of the human figure, Joe Santos is influenced by the Precisionist
painters, as well as the Bay Area figurative painters. Much of his
work borders on the abstract with an emphasis on design and composition.
He was born in Los Angeles, California in 1965, and was exposed to art at a
very early age by his father, artist, Phil Santos. It was his father
who bought Joe his first set of watercolo (showing 500 of 5806 characters). |
