Jules Scalella was born in Philadelphia on March 31, 1895. He received his education in art from the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art, the Spring Garden Institute and the Philadelphia Graphic Sketch Club. During the earlier part of his career, Scalella lived in Philadelphia's Main Line suburb of Ardmore. He later moved to Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, where he was the art director for an advertising agency.
Throughout his lifetime, he painted impressionist style landscapes of Mon (showing 500 of 1082 characters). |
