Biography from AskART:
| An Assistant Professor of Fine Arts at Montserrat College of Art, Kathleen Speranza became a painter of nature subjects including studies of birds nests and plants.
She earned her BFA from Boston University and a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University. In 1997, she started a series of nature paintings and initially intended them to be large scale, but changed to smaller renditions. She is especially fascinated by the manipulation of light and space.
