Biography from The Parthenon:
The following is from Marianne Bevil, then Historian at the Parthenon Museum:

Leopold Scholz married American sculptor Belle Kinney in 1921.  Many of their works are collaborative efforts including several monumental bronzes and the pediment sculpture of Nashville's replica of the Parthenon. (www.parthenon.org).

Scholz is credited individually for two Works Progress Administration sculptures designed for post offices. "The Mail Carrier" (1936), in Chattanooga, Tennessee and The Unknown (date not known) in Angola, New York.

Scholz died in 1946 leaving his wife to work for 13 years without her collaborator.

Leopold Scholz most often collaborated on bronze sculpture with his wife, Belle Kinney. No museum holdings are known with the exception of the pieces at the Nashville Parthenon. (The Parthenon Museum in Nashville, Tennessee owns 2 plaster maquettes, 1 figure, and 1 plaster bust attributed to Kinney/Scholz. These works need conservation work and are not available for loan or display. Their significance is that no other museum holdings are known at this time.)
