Lola Alberta Saint John 1879 - 1972
A lifelong resident of Albany, Indiana she began her formal training at Eastern Indiana Normal, studied design at the Art Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio under Brandt Steele, and painting at John Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, Indiana. Working from her home/studio in Albany, she had her beginning with design and painting of china until the shortage following WWI. She then concentrated on oil painting of landscapes from (showing 500 of 987 characters). |
