Active in New Orleans between 1885 and 1922, Lulu Saxon was a landscape painter and sketch artist who was also a writer, poet, amateur actress, singer, and musician. She studied with Andres Molinary, Bror Anders Wikstrom and F. Arthur Callender. She was a member of the Artists' Associations of New Orleans.
Exhibitions include the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition (1884-1885); Artists's Association of New Orleans (1887, 1889-97, 1899, 1901, 1902), and Art Association of N (showing 500 of 750 characters). |
