A portrait painter whose work includes commissions for the Argentine
Embassy as well as many commissions in the United States, Margaret
Sargent has lived primarily in Washington state and California.
By 2006, her studio was in Los Angeles.
She studied at the University of California in Los Angeles between 1945
and 1947 and in 1956 took watercolor classes in Tokyo, Japan. She
also studied in New York with Herbert Adams and with Marcos Blahove in
