A faculty member at the University of Oregon in Eugene, he made sculpture of beach logs and roots that suggested animal forms. He left Oregon for a period to head an art school in Pakistan and later returned to teach at Oregon State University.
He was born in Cadillac, Michigan and studied at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Wayne State University, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, the University of London, and the University of Cairo.
In 1990, he and his wife donated several-hundred fin (showing 500 of 817 characters). |
