The following, submitted February 2005, is from Charlie Stafford, descendant of the artist who is writing a book on the Stafford family.
Mary Eliza Stafford, the eighth of eleven children of Thomas Stafford Jr and Polly Rhodes, was born October 14, 1804 in Warwick, Kent Co, RI. In her youth, Mary Eliza lived with her parents and siblings on the family ancestral farm in Warwick.
When in her teens, all of her grandparents died within a five year span (paternal in 1816 & 1819 and ma (showing 500 of 1753 characters). |
