MARY JANE SCHMIDT
Mary Jane Schmidt did not consciously decide to become an artist, she says matter-of-factly, "it just happened." As a youngster, she exhibited a natural talent for the arts, which she accepted, "as one accepts the color of one's eyes or complexion."
As a grade school student, she participated in the Saturday morning art program at the Art Institute of Chicago, and when a high school art teacher encouraged Schmidt's parents to further develop her talen (showing 500 of 3686 characters). |
