This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A granddaughter of James Peale, she was a miniature painter who had the advantage of training from two talented aunts, Sarah and Anna Peale. As the only student of Anna, she had a style that closely resembled hers but are considered slightly more primitive.
She lived with her mother and aunt Sarah in Baltimore, and exhibited in that city and Philadelphia between 1825 and 1835 but discontinued her career upon her marriage to Dr. John Yeates with whom she had four children.
