|  Born in Minnesota on April 1, 1884. Sherer studied at the University of Minnesota, Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and with George Brandriff, Ruth Peabody, and Frederick Taubes. After moving to southern California in 1935, she settled in Laguna Beach. She maintained studios in Laguna and in Desert Hot Springs. She died on March 24, 1970 in Newport Beach, CA.
