Segars grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia. At the College of William and Mary, she majored in biology, and then later worked as a research technician at the University of Georgia Veterinary School. As a young wife and mother, she experimented with pastels and scratchboard, but did not take up oils until her family moved to Beaufort.
Oils created a virtual explosion in her life. She began to paint full-time, and had her first show only five months later. To date she ha (showing 500 of 715 characters). |
