| | Born in Norway on Oct. 30, 1870. Stensen immigrated to the U.S. in 1895. He was a graduate of the Minneapolis School of Art and a clergyman in the Norwegian Lutheran Church. Upon retiring, he moved to Oakland in 1931 and established a home and studio at 3504 Telegraph Avenue. He died in Oakland on March 6, 1942.
