| | Born in New York on May 13, 1870. Mrs. Schaetzel was a resident of Los Angeles prior to her move to Paris in 1920. She did many paintings from her window overlooking the Seine. She returned to Los Angeles in 1933 and resided at the Claremont Manor until her death on Jan. 17, 1952. Her work includes floral still lifes and scenes of Paris.
